Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois,  Elzie graduated from Chicago State University with a Bachelor of Science  in Criminal Justice with an ROTC Commission into the U.S. ARMY. He earned his Master’s degree from the University of Phoenix in Management. He earned his Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree from  Northcentral University in General Studies. Elzie, a retired U.S. ARMY  Veteran, is an active member of Omega Psi Phi, Inc., and American  Foreign Wars (AFW).  He currently works for the federal government in  Washington, DC.

Born and raised in Florida, Von graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in  Forensic Science with a concentration in Chemistry. She earned her  Master’s degree from the National University in Forensic Science and a Graduate Certificate in Science in DNA and Serology from the University of Florida. Von, a U.S. ARMY Veteran and an avid volunteer in the community, is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Jack and Jill of America, the American Academy of Forensic Science (AAFS), and the American Chemical Society (ACS).
